After a night of glorious fireworks and cool night breezes (thank goodness!), we did some walking around the city looking at monuments, museums, and all that. We met up with another volunteer as well as a Peace Corps staffer who was currently helping out Peace Corps Thailand, but who had served in Cameroon. It was a really great day, and I was pretty tired at the end of it!
